Richard Hawkins

Richard is the ultimate remaining founder member of the Club which was chartered in January 1987; he is currently Editor of the Alresford Rotary Times and Diary, which is published monthly. Richard retired at the end of 2012 after creating mayhem as a Chartered Quantity Surveyor in the construction industry for over 48 years, the last 28 of which saw him specialising in resolving disputes between warring factions in the industry. He currently practises part-time as a freelance consultant and expert. Richard’s other interest is railways, especially the Mid Hants “Watercress Line” steam heritage railway running between Alresford and Alton, on which he has practised as a volunteer guard since 1977.
